My name is Corinne Hewitt. I am the proud owner of H. Corinne Hewitt Quilt Patterns and Fabrics Quilt Shop in Hanna, Alberta.
I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised on a farm north east of Carlyle Saskatchewan. I have been married for 24 years to my husband Kenny and we were blessed with four wonderful children two girls; Chantal and Courtney and two boys; Jaymie and Joshua. Seven years ago we left the farm and moved to Drumheller, Alberta. After we opened the quilt shop we moved to an acreage outside Delia, Ab.
I have always been creative. In the first 15years of marriage I baked for farmers markets, canned fruits and vegetables, made crafts and sewed clothes for my husband and family. I have always tried to challenge myself with everything I did. I learned to play the fiddle and played in an old tyme band called “The Happy Wanderer’s” for 4 years until we moved.
Kenny and I opened our quilt shop in Hanna In 2009. We just celebrated our 4th year in business. We moved to a new location in January, 2013. It is Bigger and brighter!
I have always done some quilting through the years, but I really got into quilting soon after our move to Alberta. I actually designed my first pattern called “Three by Four Special” in 2007. My objective was to use fat quarters using every inch of the fabric in the quilt. This pattern is still one of my best sellers. I now have designed and self published 27 patterns.
